Why we love it!
So, in this forum, we usually talk about the grandiose design work we feature and the artistry that goes into making each design and the careful hand-drawn work for every character that is created and every color that is chosen. I think it's fair to say that this particular design is none of that. This is as simple as it gets. But since when was simplicity ever a bad thing? In the world of color guard merch we so easily find ourselves surrounded by glitter and metallics as if having something shiny means it's, what, better?
I want to change that narrative. I want to see if we can challenge ourselves more to be simple. Can we strip back the glitter and the sequins and the flashy, expensive extraneous insanity and get back to what drives the activity forward? We can still be creative and artistic without it. I promise.
Why we think you'll love it!
Well I couldn't exactly go on yelling about bourgeoisie color guard all day long. This is still a money-making operation at the end of the day so let's talk about the steps we've taken here to make sure that you can find something you'll love and let's start with options. I know I'm not perfect. There is no way I will be able to perfectly decide on every single item color to match perfectly with every design for everyone's taste preferences. So we are committed at MAM to making sure that as many color options as we feel is appropriate is available on as many designs as possible. If you're flipping through the winter guard collection or the marching band collection and you see a design you like but maybe that neon yellow hoodie isn't working for you, open the page and see what other colors it is available in. You might end up surprised (and with a new hoodie).
Also, and I know this is a common thread, but we have to talk about comfort. These hoodies are amazing. 50% cotton and 50% polyester, the spun yarn is soft to the touch but tough enough to handle a night on field. And for those extra cold rehearsal nights, the hood is double-lined to make sure you are staying as warm as you possibly can to be able to rehearse at your best. Use the sizing guide that's available on every item page to make sure whatever it is you pick up today is going to fit fresh out of the box. Ok, that was painful but it's over.
So what do you think? Do you like the simplicity of this design or are you more in tune with the artistic direction we take in others? Comment below and let us know your thoughts!
